A warning to the moron
So to the little ass who broke into my car and ganked my stuff... you best pray I never find out who you are. I liked my GPS and my tripod, a lot. And also, you better have used my overnight kit cause stealing and then just throwing it away is really messed up.
I hope those fingerprints turn out to be yours and they catch you...cause you won't like it if I catch you first.

Blame the turkey
A quick recap, I turned 28 and didn't implode...well not totally.
Had Thanksgiving with the Nagel side, made yams and didn't burn them. Hooray.
Had a wedding the next day. Rosanne and Chris got hitched and took off to Vegas for a few quiet days.
So now there is my Chris, her Chris and my sister Christy...oy.
Will try and get back into pictures and updates and whatever else I have left to do by this weekend.

MST
But you couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Well you could have, but like you'd get it. It was nice and sunny most of the time, some wicked clouds hung around the top, but never blocking out the sun at the lodge.
While I was busy trying to take a panoramic shot (still needs work) Chris discovered that the rocks made a warm bed for him.
Of course, little miss copycat, has to do whatever daddy does. I wished she would have picked a rock a bit further out of the dirt...
Nothing's better then having a monkey in the family, and there were very cool trees to climb up there.
Last shot of the day, mix of cool clouds and bare tress...just sort of ended it all nicely.

Duplicate meow
I thought they were pretty cool. Just took a few snapshots while I waited for someone to show up that I knew.
So thanks to Liz for giving me an idea for a few new pictures today, besides my bowling ones.
And thanks to Mother Nature, got to love ya...and Bond, you go well with anything.

They act their age
I'm trying to catch up on posting...mostly videos, since the new camera does that and I was playing lots. This is Mom and Pria playing at the hospital when Dad had surgery.

Farewell for now
Tomorrow I have a DNC.
Beyond that...I don't know.
I'm sorry, but I can't blog right now.
I just don't have the will to try to do much of anything.
I just want to lay in bed and...just be somewhere else.
If I have your email and can contact you that way, I will. For now no more posts or pictures here or Bring Me A Small Liar

Happy Birthday Munchers
Friday was her official birthday and was spend with mum and dad. We went to breakfast at her favorite place, Black Bear Restaurant. Then off to the mall to play and pick up the newest WWF animal from Build-A-Bear. It's a Cheetah and his name is Tisi(t-see). He joins the growing family of named animals she has. There's Tundra the Polar Bear, Aiery(Air-ee)the Giraffe, Tilly the Cow, Pounce the Snow Leopard and Eli the Platypus
She got a new outfit from The Gap (holy gracious is anything cheap?!?) and then came home for a nap. Birthday's take a good bit out of you and there's a limit to how much Chris and I will accept, even on her "special day"
Saturday was spent getting everything ready for her party that afternoon. The house was cleaned thanks in most part to Chris and leaving only decorating to be done with Nana and Papa's help.
We barbqued and had the Nagel clan, Nana & Papa and our neighbor's the Malcom's over. Nice weather kept everyone outside for the most part. I let Papa play photographer for the party and I relaxed on the steps for most of it. Pria opened her presents and we got the kids their goodie bags shortly after she finished to quell any angst about not getting anything.
Then Nana took Jordan inside and filled up his squirt gun, after tagging Kai and Pria much to their initial dismay they quickly figured out they to had squirt guns and requested water. I was raised to be a good host and happily filled their guns and pointed them towards their victims...err playmates.
Well I don't know about you, but I can't sit around and watch a water fight...it's just not right to not participate. Lucky for some of the adults, Nana had given each kiddo 2 guns and weapons were readily available. That and Nana grabbed water bottles and cups to even the score. Trini hid in her house, Papa ran away with the camera, Shirey hid behind little Sydney and Chris did his best to avoid the people with cups. It didn't work for long, I caught and soaked him happily.
Eventually the water fight wound down and we got some dry clothes for the squids, then birthday cake time. Yummy Larson's bakery fresh strawberry cake. Mmmmmmm.
It was a good fun day. Pria loved her party and presents. She snuggled Tisi and her birthday ballons while she slept. She is looking forward to turning 5 now. Well at least she was content for one day.
Have to talk to Papa about seeing what pictures he took of the fun times.

You have to use your imagination
Aah the wonderful world of doctors and my general annoyance at ever going to them. I've liked two doctors in my life, my shoulder surgeon and the one that delivered Pria. I generally don't have a great report with doc's because I'm some what of a problem patient. Things tick a bit differently with me, just because the book says I should be fixed doesn't mean it.
Well the two newest Doctors I've dealt with, are probably going to top my favorites and least liked. Dear Dr. Bair is a very nice guy and totally knows how to discuss oddities without making them "my fault" or "just in my head". Dr. Johnson on the other hand...*growls* Sunday afternoon I was taken back to discover, while turning on the downstairs stereo, that I had blood running down my legs. Very quickly I walked upstairs and washed off and told Chris in a simple voice "I need to call the doctor." Within about 15 minutes the on call doctor was supposed to be calling me back. I explained to Dr. Johnson what all had been happening and he listened and gave me the oddest suggestions. They were odd, because they weren't suggestions. All he said was repeated what I asked as statements back to me.
"You could go the emergency room, it's not the best thing"
"Should I go?"
"It's not the most ideal situation."
"What should I do then?"
"I don't know, you could go in and see them or wait til morning and call again."
"But what about now? Should I lay down? Is this something serious?"
"Yeah you could lay down, wouldn't hurt."
Now I'm not that prone to freaking out. I don't get very hysterical and I'm generally already thinking the ways it can play out before I ask anyone else. But oh that doctor made me want to scream. It was like talking to a shrink, everything was my choice but I had no clue what I should be doing in that situation.
Finally I got a hold of my mom and talked to her, I should give her my copay instead of Dr.Fruitloop over there. After a very long Sunday night bleeding off and on, Monday morning came and I called the Doc's office again. This time to be able to talk and see the doctor I wanted. After several hours and phone calls I was scheduled to see him the next morning and put on bed rest until then. Fine Dr. Johnson hadn't put my paperwork into the emergency pile (as he was supposed too) so I had to wait another day because they had no record of me talking to him.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! Dr. Johnson, you are so on the bottom of the short list.
Monday was long and I did my best to make it stress free. Our neighbors (Chris and Trini) took Jordan and Pria to the zoo for the day and gave me time to just lay down. The night was spent watching Shark Week and playing KidK'nex with Pria on the couch.
Tuesday morning came and an exhausted Chris took us to the doc's. The wait wasn't too bad and once we were in the room, Dr. Bair came and saw us within about 10 minutes. We talked in his office about everything and he talked like a completely normal person. No ten dollar words, no implied intelligence or false hope. A quick and nauseating exam and he was fairly certain I had not had a miscarriage, but ordered an ultrasound to make sure I wasn't in danger of having one. Hey nice guy doc...way to plan ahead.
In the ultrasound room the tech explained to us that because I was just barely 5 weeks that seeing something was doubtful. Well, she was wrong and so was I apparently on how far along I was (I swear I got the date right this time) To the absolute delight of Pria there was a little baby she could see, and she could also see the heart beating. Now that was cool. The tech did a sound recording and sure enough that's a heartbeat in there, 103 bpm. Girls are the slower heart rates right? We couldn't remember. Pria got a picture, she was very happy to hold it and tell everyone "That's the baby." Along with the baby we could also see two blood pools, one right next to the gestational sack and one above the cervix. The baby was measured and I was put at 6 weeks at least, so my math sucks.
Dr. Bair was happy as could be that the baby was in the right spot and had a heartbeat, the chances of miscarriages drop from 50% to 20% with hearing a heartbeat. But the pools of blood slightly concerned him. He believed that the placenta had ripped away from the wall and was bleeding, so I was ordered to bed rest or sitting and taking it easy for the next week (boring) to encourage it to heal and scar over. And not to encourage anymore ripping. If it doesn't heal or tears again, the miscarriage threat becomes a more prevalent possibility. Until I get to 12 weeks, he will be watching me closely. Once I get to 12 weeks the miscarriage rate is 1% and he is fairly certain we can handle anything after that.
For now I'm back to my post surgery routine, no lifting, no running, sitting and laying as much as I can possibly stand it. Guess I'll go buy Harry Potter after all, and read it slow this time....painfully slow. Have any other ideas what to do for the next 6 weeks?

I suck at tag
My sister Liz has tagged me this time, about 7 things people don't know about me. I already sort of did something like it Here just on my own. But will do it again in the 7 form.
1. I've never voted and never will. I'm not sad at that one...
2. I had no idea Clinton got elected twice. I wasn't that observant at political things at that age I guess.
3. I really want a T-shirt that says "Asses for Basses Charity Nude Fishing Tournament", I like weird shirts...and I've never seen anyone else with one, so I'd be first!
4. First time I read a book, I read it constantly until I get to the end. Stopping is like having the cable go out in the midst of the season finale. So if I can't sit down and have it done in a few days, I wont read it. All or nothing.
5. I like scary movies, but they must have a point. Movies with gore just for the purpose of creeping me out as much as possible, I've got no reason to see. What you don't see is always far better then what you can...Give me Hitchcock any day.
6. I hate banks. I prefer to have my money at home, I save it that way. A throw back to my dad always getting me new banks to encourage me to save my money.
7. I believe fun is foreign.
Yay, now I can tag people back! Alright Christy Mom and Dana your turn now.

Motto' A motto'
Takes a few minutes of encouragement to get Pria to go all the way into the fountains....Chris does his best to show her what she can enjoy with them.
She figures it out soon enough and then the fun begins. We take buckets with us, since it's no fun to throw water on the other kids playing unless it's a lot of water.
Geoffry the Giraffe would be proud....we are totally Toys"R"Us kids

2.5.1aa
Chris is waiting his soon-to-be transfer (hopefully soon) to the new fab. I believe it is the AFO? I never could figure out the names. It's still an Intel fab, just in Aloha. New boss, new co-workers, new start. He is excited about the vendor school, he will be sent away for training instead of on site. He's hoping for the Sweden one, but doesn't think he's lucky enough. I'm laughably betting on the Arizona one.
Pria has discovered creative story telling and with that, the art of lying...as well as punishment for lying. She is getting anxious for her birthday. She is thrilled at the prospect of growing up, and does it several times a day according to her.
Pria "I grew up today."
Angie "Really, how cool."
Pria "This morning I was 2, now I'm 6."
Angie "Wow, you did grow up a lot today."
Pria "Yeah."
She has also taken to shouting out every time she finds "her number 3", she does announce the other numbers as well, with a bit less gusto since it is not "her number" We are working on letters, she's got a few down pat. She's a big fan of having you tell her instead.
As for me, well I'm summed up in a simple sentence. I'm pregnant....and I flooded the kitchen.
Wild With Them
Welcome to the world of No-Pants baseball. Simple to achieve. Just have a child who wants to be outside, but refuses to do so in pants. At least she put shoes on right?
Pria was pitching either really well or....yeah let's give her a confidence boost and leave it at that. Papa showed great skill trying to connect with the evasive pitches.
He kept on trying even when he got a wee bit jammed up and got hit. Guess Pria plays to win, don't know where she got that side from...it didn't last for long though. She announced she was done a few minutes later.
Nana took to the hose while the playing was at a stand still. Yard's lookin' awesome mom.
And it's the return of the No-Pants...wait that's not a baseball. Ok, No-Pants soccer now. Pria showed off her skills by doing several fakes and backwards kicks.
In close quarters Papa had her beat, those legs of hers still have some ground they need to make up before that becomes a really fair match.
It was sort of rainy/cloudy all weekend, but muggy as heck. Not the greatest combo...well for No-Pants sports it seems to be the perfect weather. Not much else though. Was nice to hang out for the weekend, Pria enjoyed the constant attention and varying playmates.

A little bit of water
Water is necessary. For many things. Most of all, for fun. Especially in the summer. Hooray for Shirey and Izzy having a little pool for the kids to play in on the Fourth.
I grabbed my camera, sat in the sun working on getting rid of my farmers tan and snapped some pictures of the fun.
When it comes to pools filled up with a hose, there's not better way then to just jump in. At least that's what I told Pria...
Luke was up first on the slide. It was a wild ride no doubt.
Along came little miss, in the borrowed undies swimsuit.
Being the biggest one, she didn't "splash down" more of just landed on her feet.
Kai did his best to stand up at the end...
Don't think he minded falling down though.
A few encouraging words to Luke and he was the first to go backwards on his belly. Look at that form, pointed toes and hands...nice job Luke!
...SPLASH!
Pria gave it a go...
She hit the edge of the pool, being the tall girl she is. But she still had fun.
Then Kai gave going head first a try, was the only one too.
It was a fun afternoon

Manual Labor
After several hours of cleaning and working the soil. This side is pretty much done, well in the prep stage I guess. Only doing planting between the 2 rose bushes, I am forced to keep. Have watched the sun for a few days and noticed, I get none. Pretty much stamps out most of the flowers I like. But my mom I'm sure can help me with some creative ideas for shady plants.
This was the first thing I did. I have a good space on this side of the building that has never been planted. For good reason. There is no sun. At least, not really. Late in the evening, the bit of dirt that extends out in the circle, gets a few hours of late sun. Heliotrope and impatiens. The impatiens are for Pria. They are cute, easy and colorful. She happily sits in the grass and watches them get bigger. The heliotrope is mine. It smells like cherries/vanilla...and doesn't make me sneeze. Of course I'm choosing that one. I still have about, 5 or 6 more feet that needs to be worked. The soil is crap here. A lot of clay and dries out. Lots of shoveling, turning and mixing in steer manure (honestly it doesn't smell that bad...) gets it moist and dark. Flowers will be happy there.
Once upon a time there was a bush here. It was removed. It didn't react well to the heat from the grill. Burning bushes are always a treat to have near your house. Before the managers could see what we did to the bush, I cut it down. I really don't think they even remembered it was there. And plus the grill is a distracting item to block where it would have gone. I never got around to digging the roots out though. Until now. I was stressed and what better way to get rid of it...then manual labor. So I grabbed my shovel and started digging. The fish eye doesn't do it justice. It was a big mess of roots in there.
Took me about, an hour maybe. Had my somewhat nosey neighbor checking in on me. He has been watching intently on what I am doing to my yard. As long as he doesn't complain to me, or take the route of he knows best...I will be good. The hole ended up about 2 feet deep, 3+ feet wide. Lots of jumping on the shovel to actually get the silly thing to come out. Cut what roots I could, ripped and pulled on the other ones.
I have done this before, and I knew I would win. Pria thought it was cool, and promptly planted it back in the hole.
"It grows now?"
"No, I tore it out. I don't want it to grow here."
"You killed it?"
"Yep."
I reveled in my prowes of kick ass gardener for a moment. Scarfed down an ecnhilada, some water, then started filling the hole back in. I think it was more work getting the dirt back in. Got it packed down, then added more, packed it down again.
Then I had an idea.
We have always gotten annoyed that the landscape people blow grass and dust all over the grill, because it has to be right next to the grass. But now the area behind the grill would be vacant. So I had the idea of stones. Just simple plain stones to extent the cement area we have there all the way to the house. The grill could be slid all the way against the house, and the slide could sit in front of it instead of in the flower bed.
2 bags of small gravel/sand and 16 blocks. The next project will start tomorrow.

Little piggies out to play
We did chalk time, which is always a fun barefeet activity.
Barefeet activites are favorite things as of late.
Nothing beats sitting in the grass under the shade of what tree we have, as little miss runs around watering the plants. I just need a better allergy medicine before I do it again :)

Hot To Trot
It was hot. It was sunny. We needed water. Enter thoughts of Washougal River, we got up too late for that one. Then Willson Pool, nope closed. As was every other pool. Then came the idea. Jameson Square. A very nifty park we found at the end of summer last year. A cool stepping rock wall that doubles as a fountain. And the brick area will fill up like a small pool every so often. It's very cool and very fun on a day like today.
After parking a few blocks away we walked in and holy massive amounts of people. The fountain was off and we found a spot on the top of the wall and waited. After a few minutes the water strated slow and easy. Pria squealed and ran around jumping in it. Splashing and chasing other kids. But the pool wouldn't fill up, hmrmm. After a few minutes the water poured faster and we set about having fun with the lack of the pool.
Chris was up first, cutting a bottle apart and soaking pria.
And thus the water tossing began...
Back and forth they went, as I laughed and happily snapped pictures. Pria ran screaming as Chris sneaked after her, nailing her everytime in the face much to her delight. I sat on the dry bricks and continued to take pictures of them and everyone else. Until that is, I felt a jolt. A serius freaking rush of cold water down the back of my pants. Mommy jumped up screaming and grabbing the back of her now very wet shorts.
"Pria did you pour water on mommy?" Chris said and she ran off screaming.
"You're dead." I glared playfully at her and handed Chris the camera and took his bottle. Thus begin war number 2.
"Hey be easy." He said to me as I soaked her hard."Nuh-uh. She plays dirty why should I be nice?"
"You're bigger." And with that little miss dirty tricks, sneaks up while I'm engaged in the finer points of fair playing with Chris. Mommy was now very very wet. And the little miss was going to pay.
We ran and screamed for almost 2 hours. Never once did the pool fill up like it used too, but we all got some sun and soaked each other plenty. The camera made it out with only a few drops of water from over zealous water tossers that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Underwater housing *hint hint*
And just to make the day perfect... I sit here editing pictures and he leans over to me.
"I poured the water down your pants, not Pria." He smirked happily.
Boy you are dead tomorrow.

Hot dam!
As always little miss played in the water, this time a fountian with a cool fish statue. And as always looks rather bothered by mommie and the camera...I'll just have to find her a good small one and she can do the same back to me :)
She had fun, and so did we. It was a nice day to be in the gorge and I'm sure as teh weather continues to warm up we'll seek out the cooler temps up there.
